Our Story

The story of Restaurant 317 began in 2005, when a Coeliac family member of our founder, Pierre Sande, was unable to dine at any trusted venue in Sydney. Pierre’s goal was simple – to create a space where Coeliacs could come together and indulge in quality food that’s both accessible and diverse. What was born was a truly unique dining experience, combining authentic cuisines of the Mediterranean, with family-style dining in an elevated, yet cosy setting.

Ten years later, we outgrew our space so we decided to double our capacity by taking over the venue next door. Fast forward to today and our 180-seater venue is proud to be the longest-standing restaurant on Church St, Parramatta and a place that welcomes all diners, no matter their dietary requirement.

Our offering showcases the best of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a menu designed to tantalise the taste buds. From homemade pastas to succulent grilled meats and fresh seafood, our menu is sure to transport you to the sun-kissed shores of Italy and the Mediterranean.

At the heart of Restaurant 317 is exceptional hospitality and long-standing relationships with our fiercely loyal clientele. Our team is dedicated to delivering a warm, friendly and personalised service to each and every guest. We believe that dining out is not just about the food, but also about the atmosphere, the people you share it with and the memories you create. That’s why we take great care in curating a warm and inviting ambiance that complements our carefully crafted menu.

We imagine a world where Coeliacs can enjoy healthy and affordable food anywhere. We’re proud to be the first restaurant in NSW to be accredited by Coeliac Australia, offering a complete Coeliac-friendly menu via our unique colour coding system. All food that contains gluten is cooked with our red utilities and served on a red plate. Our gluten-free dishes are cooked with turquoise utilities and are served on a turquoise plate. Easy, effortless dining for everyone. And it never stopped inhouse, through our innovation, dedication, and mastering the art of offering the best Gluten Free Food in a trusted environment with wide variety we are proud to hold the title of the first coeliac accredited restaurant by Coeliac Australia.

Our Promise

We promise to always put our best foot forward and always handle your food with care. Whether you are a Coeliac, Vegan or Vegetarian, or require Halal, we promise that you are safe with us here. We take contamination very seriously, hence why we have a strict colour coding in place for a no cross contamination promise.

Please note you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submission. For reservations within the next 24 hours please contact our reservations team on  1300 317 317.

Table reservations for up to 20 can be made here, and for larger tables or functions please submit a functions enquiry and our event manager will help you achieve the perfect experience.

We can only hold tables for a maximum of 15 minutes past the initial reservation time. All diners that are running late need to inform management by contacting the restaurant directly on 02 9893 8188. All reservations that arrive more than 15 minutes past their reserved time may need to reschedule.
